Planning a Holiday this summer? Are you having treatments with us or using our products? Make sure you follow these steps to ensure the best results and avoid complications.
- We recommend avoiding treatments such as Plexr, Dermapen, CO2 Laser Resurfacing and Laser skin rejuvenation during the summer months. These treatments make you more at risk of sun damage and require that you protect your skin from exposure to the sun’s UV & UVB rays. If you are going ahead with any of these treatments in the near future ensure to wear an SPF 50 and apply regularly. Also ensure you stay inside for a few days post treatment whilst the skin heals.
- If you are using active medical grade products you may be advised to stop using them for a period of time while you are on holiday. Please contact our team for more information regarding this.
- If you are planning to have Moles, Blemishes or Sun Spots treated by Laser this summer, ensure you protect the area with an SPF50.
- Skin Peels and Microdermabrasion’s can be a great quick fix pre holidays however if you are going somewhere hot we would advise having the treatment 1-2 weeks prior to the holiday & keep applying sun protection while away.
- If you are having a course of laser hair removal treatments make sure you let our Aesthetician know if you are planning on going on a holiday (somewhere hot) or have just came back from one. When tanned the laser cannot differentiate between melanin in the skin and hair. This can lead to burns. You should always wait till your tan has gone before starting your laser treatments again and ensure you are using an SPF while you are way.
- Stay Hydrated!
