What are the benefits of Epionce Peels?
They visibly reduce skin imperfections, prevent the chronic damaging cycle which leads to visible skin aging. Epionce can lessen the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles & irregular pigmentation, clear acne and rosacea flare-ups.
Epionce offer 2 different peels. The Epionce Lite Refresh Peel and Epionce Corrective Peel.
Epionce Lite Peel Refresh
Using a blend of Malic Acid and Salicylic Acid, this peel is a great for clients that are new to peels to build up tolerance level and balance the pH level of the skin. The Lite Refresh Peel enhances skin hydration and brightens and encourages cell turnover. It gives and anti-aging effect with no exfoliation or skin needling.
Epionce Corrective Peel
This is a stronger and deeper peel than the Lite Refresh peel. This peel uses Salicylic and Malic acid but they are layered separately on the skin.
Salicylic Acid is a BHA and is a derivative of aspirin. It minimises the plugging of follicles through its ability to be oil soluble. Salicylic acid is able to lift the debris that is in the follicle. The salicylic acid also increases cell turnover in the stratum corneum. This acid is ideal for treating acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation and age management.
Malic Acid is a larger molecule that Glycolic or Lactic, so it penetrates slowly and is very effective for sensitive skin types. Because Malic acid maintains a pH of 2 as it goes through the skin surface when applied after the Salicylic step, it is able to penetrate deeper that glycolic or lactic acid, stipulating cell turnover without excessive exfoliation. Malic Acid reduces problem bacteria, enhances skin hydration and brightening. best for visible aging, acne and hyperpigmentation.
How does the Epionce Peel system improve skin aging?
In our 20’s & 30’s, our skin is at its optimum rate, with new cells making their way to the surface of the skin every 28-32 days. As we age, this process slows, which causes increased dead skin cell buildup on the surface of the skin. Superficial peels encourage cell turnover by loosening the bonds of the glue that hold skinc ells together, and after the initial light exfoliation, your skin appears fresher and smoother.
How does the Epionce peel system improve hyperpigmentation?
The Sal-e Peel (a BHA – beta hydroxy acid) and its effects on the epidermis and upper dermis (where melanin is created) are similar to those of Retin-A, but with less irritation. It is soluble in oil and can exfoliate oily skin areas. Therefore, it has a beneficial effect on pigmentary disturbances and sun damaged skin.
How does the Epionce peel system improve acne/problem skin?
BHA is often used in skincare products to accelerate skin turnover, clear out pores and reduce disease-causing microbe counts. This improves the visible appearance of acne and problem skin. BHA penetrates more deeply, especially into pores, than Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA).
What to expect with a peel
The procedure may take up to 60mins, depending on the time the peel stays on the skin before neutralising, or the number of layers needed, or client comfort level.
The peel is formulated to penetrate deeply into the epidermal layers, and trigger cell turnover with minimal exfoliation. Individual results vary. Some clients may or may not peel. This will depend on the quantity of peel used, and the time the peel is on the skin.
After any skin treatment, in particular peels, it is important to keep your face out of direct sun and keep it well cover with a high SPF and a hat.
